2008 F3 National Class Champion Jay Bridger will join the Litespeed F3 team for an all out attack on the prestigious 2010 Cooper Tyres British F3 Championship season using a 309/10 Dallara VW acquired from the 2009 F3 Euro Series Champions ART GP.  Following an initial foray into the International class in 2009 the 22 year old is looking for a strong season in 2010.
“Litespeed F3 helped me through a difficult season in 2009 and I am looking forward to demonstrating to both Litespeed and my new sponsors H2 Industries just how competitive I can be” said Bridger “I have unfinished business in the British F3 Championship and the package that Litespeed have put together for 2010 is very strong, I can’t wait for the season to start!”.
Following the announcement of Litespeed’s Lotus F1 racing affiliation the team have worked hard in conjunction with the Grand Prix team to put an ultra competitive F3 package together and the race is on between the two teams to showcase what they both can do in 2010.
With key knowledge of all the 2010 championship circuits Bridger is already a step ahead of the competition and this will allow the team to focus on setup so that he can be a regular visitor to the F3 podium.
“Jay will be in his third year of F3 and his previous experience will be an immense benefit in the new format race weekends” said Steve Kenchington “The three races each weekend will demand consistency, pace and the skills of a proven F3 race winner, I am sure Jay will deliver both to become a strong championship contender”
“This is the first of our driver announcements and we are very pleased to continue our relationship with Jay” said Litespeed’s Nino Judge “The support from Lotus F1 has been remarkable and my new role as Head of European Driver Development at Lotus has enabled Litespeed F3 to provide the possibility of a direct route into F1 for up and coming drivers. It would be fantastic if Jay could be the first Litespeed F3 graduate”
